Samsung and Google have announced global co-operation intended to provide mobile phone users worldwide with quick and easy access to Google products and services - directly from their Samsung mobile phones.

Samsung mobile phones equipped with Google applications will enable consumers to search information, find locations, and manage their e-mail on the move, the companies say.

Beginning in early 2007, selected Samsung phones will be provided with a range of Google products and services intended to create a more dynamic user experience, including:
* Google search: Samsung handsets will include a Google icon in the application menu, aiming to provide users with one-click access to Google search;
* Google Maps for mobile: Also featured on Samsung handsets will be Google Maps for mobile, an application that aims to enable users to view maps and satellite imagery, find local businesses, and get driving directions when they are on the go;
* Gmail: Gmail for mobile devices, an application designed to bring more speed, convenience, and functionality to the mobile Gmail experience, will also be available on Samsung handsets

Samsung says that it will introduce HSDPA connectivity combined with an embedded Internet browser, and Google mobile services will provide users with a rich mobile Internet experience across a number of handset models being introduced. Future models will also be Google-ready.
