Hyperion, distributed locally by Intellient, an EOH company, has been placed in the leaders' quadrant in Gartner's 2006 Magic Quadrant for corporate performance management (CPM) suites.

The report lists Hyperion among a field of 16 vendors. Gartner weighed Hyperions completeness of vision and its ability to execute in determining its position in the Magic Quadrant.

Hyperion has a comprehensive CPM offering including planning, budgeting and forecasting; financial consolidation and statutory reporting; and strategic planning, says Marc Scheepbouwer, MD of Intellient. It also offers a range of scorecarding and reporting products, and delivers profitability modelling.

The Magic Quadrant uses multiple criteria to characterise companies in the leaders, challengers, visionaries and niche players quadrants. It is a graphical representation of the marketplace for a specific time period that depicts Gartners analysis of how certain vendors measure up against criteria for that marketplace.

According to Gartner, leaders are vendors whose performance excels in the CPM suites market segment. They are able to deliver breadth and depth of CPM suite functionality, and deliver on implementations that support a broad CPM strategy. Leaders successfully articulate a business proposition that works with buyers, supported by the viability and operational capability to deliver on a global basis.
