According to John Geypen, product manager at Acer SA: "The AcerPower F6 is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which is built to run up to 40% faster while consuming 40% less energy than earlier CPU architectures. The AcerPower F6 also supports Celeron, Pentium 4 and Pentium D processors."
The desktop features up to 2GB of DDR2 533MHz SDRAM that is designed to handle all multitasking and productivity applications. An ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset with integrated Radeon X200-based graphics offers a platform and visuals for corporate multimedia applications, Geypen adds.
The large-capacity Serial ATA hard disk drive, with up to 400GB per 3.5" drive, provides storage space while allowing for quick data access and retrieval, he says. Multiple optical drive options also present users with the choice of creating and reading from a variety of CDs and DVDs, he adds.
The desktop is also equipped with a full range of network connectivity options, including Gigabit Ethernet, optional 802.11b/g WLAN and an optional 56K ITU V.92 modem.
"The AcerPower F6, enhanced with extra usability and productivity functions, offers a mixture of performance, ergonomics and value that make it a perfect fit for many office environments," adds Geypen.
It is also Windows Vista ready, supporting the user's needs well into the future, he claims.
It is available at a recommended retail price starting from R4 599 including VAT.
