Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) has announced the imminent arrival of two disk storage systems (file and print servers) for SMEs. Even the most exacting demands in terms of reliability, speed and availability will present no problems to the FibreCAT NX20 and FibreCAT NX40 models, FSC says.

Every product is fully pretested and pre-installed - and is therefore ready to run in minutes, the company adds. Simple, centralised control of all management and administration tasks also makes the newcomers the ideal solution for deployment across different departments and branch offices, FSC continues.

Both servers run the Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 operating system, which aims to make life easier and data management more convenient.

Hamish Macarthur, from Macarthur Stroud International in London, says: "These network-attached devices will enable more organisations to tackle the challenges of growing volumes of data. The NX40 and NX20 models will deliver a reliable and trusted service, and are well suited to data protection and file and print services."

"Losing mission-critical data is a terrible blow to any company these days - a blow that it cannot afford," says Rui de Oliveira, product manager: storage, at FSC. "Our FibreCAT NX models give SMEs storage solutions that are extremely reliable and highly available. But they are equally easy to install and suitable for just about every context."
