Engelbrecht joined Intel as architecture manager, and at EDS she held the positions of sales manager and delivery executive responsible for large outsource contracts and outsource operations. She also held the position of country manager for Mercury in SA.

At Arivia.kom she was the managing executive responsible for the outsource division, before joining Nortel.
