Made in Augsburg, Germany, the small form factor Esprimo E5916 and Esprimo P5916 microtower also feature several in-house developments from FSC that are designed to enhance system manageability, security and energy efficiency.
To keep IT infrastructure running as smoothly as possible, IT managers need systems that are above all easy to administer, FSC says. Ideally, all pertinent client data is compiled centrally, software uploads proceed even when systems are shut down, effective protection against viruses and unauthorised access is always in place, and the repair functions can be controlled from the data centre, the company adds.
The Intel vPro-based Esprimo E5916 and Esprimo P5916 are designed to cover all these bases, also offering a number of additional features to further simplify IT administration. In combination with the Intel vPro technology, for example the DeskView manageability solution from FSC aims to make it possible to update software even when a PC is switched off. The fact that an on-site administrator is no longer required to debug a system also means considerably reduced time and resource requirements, FSC says.
Since desktop PCs remain unrivalled for the standard applications used by office employees, our development and production departments continually improve the systems they use, explains Andrew Tsobanoglou, product manager professional products at FSC.
By significantly easing the control and maintenance of client systems while at the same time improving security functions, Intel vPro technology helps save substantial time and money on administration, adds Richard Curran, director of Intels Digital Enterprise Group in EMEA.
