Vodacom has announced Vodafone Simply - claimed to be an easy-to-use mobile solution for subscribers who utilise their cellphones for voice and text services.

Ease of use and accessibility of information on cellphones are key features for users, especially as feature-rich handsets and technology continue to enter the market at a dynamic pace, says Shameel Joosub, MD, Vodacom SA.

Vodafone Simply is an easy to use mobile solution that includes the personalised Vodacom Customer Care experience. Customers will now be able to keep in touch with family and friends with ease and convenience, he says.

Customer relationship management remains one of the companys key strategic focus areas. Customers can dial 111 from their Vodafone Simply handset, which will immediately identify them as a Vodafone Simply user, and provide the call centre agent with the opportunity to provide personalised service, he adds.

Additionally, the voicemail facility has been enhanced so that access to voicemail messages is as easy as pressing a single button without the need to dial the short code into your voice mailbox, he continues.

The Vodafone Simply cellphone is a large handset with three buttons that aim to provide direct access to the most commonly used services: the Main Screen, Contacts and Messages. Additionally a flashing button alerts users of new message arrivals.

The Vodafone Simply phone will also prompt users to save contact details and remember the most frequently dialled numbers on your phone, Joosub continues. Staying in touch has never been simpler.
