The partnership aims to enable SYSDBA to deliver Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM) to its corporate and channel customers, and to establish availability of the Application Delivery Controller (ADC) locally.
According to SYSDBA, the Zeus platform was selected for its ability to combine traffic management, advanced security and application acceleration in a single scalable solution, and to complement its existing portfolio of solutions chosen to enable organisations to achieve maximum return on technology investment.
First National Bank (FNB) has already selected ZXTM to power its customer-facing Internet banking Web site.
ZXTM is said to be available as both an appliance and as a software platform to run on existing data centre servers and blades, and to provide customers with flexibility in choosing a product that suits their technology and business needs.
Enterprises in SA are increasingly recognising the need to bring more business operations online to boost employee productivity and customer service, however, the high costs and poor availability of regional telecoms infrastructure are still hindering the effectiveness of these measures, says Chris Bamber, MD of SYSDBA.
