Foster-Melliar, a subsidiary of Simeka BSG, has partnered with ExecuTrain to deliver training for the Help Desk Institute's (HDI) qualifications, recommended for IT help desk agents, supervisors and managers.

Foster-Melliar, in association with ExecuTrain, will provide training on the Help Desk Institutes customer support specialist, help desk analyst, help desk senior analyst and help desk manager qualifications. We have qualified and experienced tutors in this field of which there are only a handful in SA. Foster-Melliar is equipped to deliver the HDI courses mapped against the highest globally accepted standards, says Ian Butow of Foster-Melliar.

We envisage there will be significant demand for this type of training due to the tremendous growth in the call centre and help desk environments. This training complements what Foster-Melliar delivers in the IT Service Management arena from an ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 training and consulting perspective.

By adopting a collaborative approach with ExecuTrain we believe we will be able to offer delegates a well rounded training offering that is relevant and based on our tutors solid experience within the field, rather than just on theoretical, text book content. Furthermore, the HDI qualifications add a whole new dimension to our IT service management and ISO/IEC 20000 offering and can only serve to enhance the delegates experience, explains Butow.
