Avaya expands in SA coastal regions

Avaya has expanded its local team in sub-Saharan Africa, with the appointment of Craig Butler as business development manager for the coastal regions. Butler brings much experience and knowledge to the local office, including 16 years in the communications market. His new business development responsibilities with Avaya will span both the KwaZulu-Natal and Cape regions.

We are very committed to the coastal regions and have doubled our staff our over the past year in response to growing demand, says Bridget Kelly, country manager for Avaya sub-Saharan Africa. The appointment of a dedicated business development manager will help us ensure that our business partners have the resources they need in order to be successful and to better serve the local business community.
 
Butler has extensive knowledge of Avaya solutions and previously worked in a technical and pre-sales role with Avaya business partner, Dimension Data.
 
I have been working directly with the Avaya products, in both technical and sales capacities, for more than nine years, and I am very pleased to be joining the team at a time when convergence is on the edge of exploding in the local market, Butler says.

Butler formerly worked with Telkom, Phillips, NBS and Dimension Data, where he was a solutions architect, and manager of the companys voice solutions business.
