With MADSolutions' recent introduction of E-mail Management Server 2006 software, users can now manage their Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail systems while preserving data integrity, says Amit Parbhucharan, technology marketing director at official local distributor, Channel Data.

The software is optimised for a number of e-mail storage formats, which include Personal Folder Files (PSTs), Exchange Server mailboxes and Exchange Server Public Folders, he adds.

E-mail Management Server 2006 provides a very important solution to todays e-mail challenges that include user mailbox management, archiving and e-mail preservation. Plus, if you consider that almost 75% of respondents to a recent survey stated that they are addicted to e-mail, it is time that the necessary steps are taken, he continues.

Furthermore, with almost 78,5% of Exchange Server resources and storage capacities being clogged by bulky attachment files, E-mail Management Server is designed to allow administrators to move, copy, delete or archive these attachments on a common network, based on content, age, location, type and size. This will also allow migrated attachment files to be easily accessible by the user from within their mailbox without using any proprietary stubbing approaches, he says.

In addition, administration and management is intuitive and centralised with a snap-in for the Microsoft Management Console, and all administration is performed through easy to understand and use wizards, he adds.

It is about providing the market with a practical, simple and more open tool to address what has emerged as a major IT pain-point for most SA businesses, concludes Parbhucharan.
