Looking particularly at the 6-Quad functionality, the motherboard features Quad Cooling, Quad e-SATA2, Quad BIOS, Quad Core, Quad DDR slots and Quad-Triple Power Phase, the company says. Additionally, Quad Cooling includes the fan-less Gigabyte Silent-Pipe cooling system, the company adds.

The GA-965P-DQ6 represents the next step in the evolution of motherboards, offering six of Gigabytes quad functionalities. coupled with Intels Core 2 Duo processing, says Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at Rectron.

The motherboard also features Intels High Definition Audio for 7.1 channel surround effects with both Dolby and DTS-enabled functions.
