Spectrum Visual Networks (SVN), a local media solutions provider, has renewed its contract with Primedia Outdoor to supply its digital technology solution for the plasma screens situated at the six luggage carousels situated in the domestic terminals at Johannesburg International Airport.

The renewed contract also includes an upgrade to the current system, with an added audio component, as well as improved picture quality.

SVNs digital product offers advertisers a high-quality solution to their advertising needs. Additionally the inclusion of sound increases the value proposition for the client, allowing advertisers to easily convert their current television campaigns, which can then simultaneously be broadcast on all 11 screens, says Manny Teixeira, MD of SVN.

According to Dashni Naidu, Primedia outdoor marketing manager: The double-sided plasma screen units are an ideal advertising medium to capture the attention of the over 13 000 consumers, who on a daily basis, have on average a ten-minute wait at the luggage carousels. The versatility and flexibility of the digital offering allows for advertising content to be updated at short notice, and reduces scheduling issues.
