Kaplan IT Learning has announced the launch of the latest version of its simulation and documentation authoring tool, STT Trainer. Version 4.3 is intended to focus on improving the quality and speed with which organisations can generate end-user training content, to decrease the number of calls made to technical support desks and call centres for end-user support, and to increase the return on investment for enterprise systems, such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft.

STT Trainer is Kaplan IT Learning's Enterprise Application Training software that aims to help organisations to achieve and maintain high user proficiency across business applications. Kaplan IT Learning is a division of Kaplan, an education and test prep company, and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Washington Post Company.

Chief learning officers, IT project managers, training managers and human resource managers use STT Trainer to reduce the time and cost required to train and support end-users, on applications ranging from specialised ERP and CRM systems to more generally used Windows, Web and Java-based applications.

STT Trainer aims to generate multiple modes of high quality end-user training and support content from a single file, such as simulation demos, training and assessments, as well as documentation in Word and HTML. In Version 4.3, Kaplan has added ‘Live Help simulations as one of the modes to enable in-application support

We have extended STT Trainers end-user support capability as part of our strategy to deliver long-term value to our customers, says Brian Sholly, vice-president and GM of Kaplan IT Learning.
