Official local distributor, Corex, has introduced Thermaltake Technology's Muse eSATA and USB 2.0 dual-interface external hard drive enclosure. They are claimed to conform to eSATA standards and to support the traditional SATAII connectors inside the enclosure.

The internal structure of the Muse eSATA is also improved, Corex says, as the aluminium is sturdier and includes a metallic mesh for a greater EMI and ESD protection. As a result, the data of the hard drive inside the Muse eSATA is safer and the lifetime of the unit is also increased, the company adds.

Furthermore, matched with the next generation SATA2 motherboard, the Thermaltake Muse eSATA external hard drive enclosure is said to allow for 300mbps of high speed data transfer as well as the thrill of hot-plugging an eSATA drive.

The wonderful tool-less cover design greatly improves convenience while the improved internal structure provides better shock protection and duration. The units chipset has also been replaced with a higher quality chip to ensure enhanced read/write and data transfers, explains David Dos Santos, product manager of Corex.

Accessories include USB and eSATA cables and the SATA-to-eSATA PCI card, he adds.
