Esquire Technologies, a local supplier of computer hardware and peripherals, has announced the opening of a branch in Durban to service the KwaZulu-Natal region.

Says Asgar Mahomed, MD of Esquire: "The opening of our KZN branch is part of expansion programme, which also includes the launching of our Cape Town branch early next year. As the exclusive distributor of brands, such as CTX, ABIT, Azza and Prime, Esquire needs to offer its vendor partners national distribution."

Esquire's head office and distribution centre is located in Midrand, Gauteng. "With the opening of the Durban branch," adds Mahomed, "Esquire will be able to better service its large customer base in this region, with immediate availability of stock, as well as technical services and support."

Esquire has partnered with Micropack Information Technologies, which will be responsible for marketing, operating and running the Natal branch, from its current head office and distribution centre in Durban North.

Mahomed comments: "With Micropack's strong sales and business structure, it made sense to partner with an existing company with an established infrastructure.

Micropack will stock the full range of Esquire products and brand the branch as Esquire KwaZulu-Natal."
