This release is designed to deliver support for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, and to make it increasingly easier to create data-driven applications.

With the release of Sybase DataWindow .NET 2.0, Sybase expands its continued commitment to the Microsoft .NET Framework, says Jay Roxe, lead product manager of the .NET Developer Product Marketing Group at Microsoft.

In conjunction with the .NET Framework 2.0, the efficiencies and functionalities in Sybase's tools give our customers a level of control and agility that they demand, says Karen Frederiksen, director of Application Development Technology at Sybase.

In addition to supporting the .NET Framework 2.0, developers can now build DataWindows directly from Microsoft standard DataSets and DataTables, says Rudi Leibbrandt, services manager at Sybase SA.

New properties and functionality, including auto size height on all parts of a DataWindow, give customers more control and flexibility over their reports. Also, a presentation style, the TreeView, is now available for easily presenting hierarchical data.
