Formed after the acquisition of CCC systems, a listed company, in 1999, PM Tech set out to build on this foundation, forming the companys hardware and infrastructure business unit, now called PM Tech Solutions.
This division currently features a range of customers, from small businesses and large corporates, and has expanded branches in Cape Town, Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth.
Another landmark in PM Techs five-year existence is PM Ora Software, the company software development and services division, featuring a client portfolio that includes banking, telecommunications, healthcare and government.
PM Oras software portfolio features, amongst other, the locally-developed Business System Monitoring (BSM) solution, Enterprise Gauge, now in its fourth version. Enterprise Gauge started off as an Oracle database preventative maintenance solution, and has grown to an enterprise-wide offering that is built on Open Source technology.
PM Ora Software has partnerships throughout Africa, Europe and India.
We attribute our success to our relationships and services - critical to the survival of any business - which is based on a one-on-one approach. Innovation is also another contributing factor in an environment where change is the only constant factor - our ability to stay one step ahead of our competitors is testimony not only to our skilled staff, but also to our in-house research team, comments Michael Leeuwen, director of PM Tech Holdings.
PM Techs consulting services now has contracts in 16 African countries, again including the banking and telecommunications sectors.
With change in mind, PM Tech Solutions has transferred a significant portion of its ownership to a BEE stakeholder, which is said to be indicative of the companys commitment to SA empowerment.
Concludes Leeuwen: We look forward to the coming years with great excitement and focus.
