As InnoVent is an independent, black-owned (65%) and managed rental and asset management solutions company, the agreement is in line with First Technologys commitment to BEE.
According to DJ Khumbula, CEO at InnoVent, the deal ensures that First Technology customers are provided with the most innovative asset rental and asset management solutions available.
As the exclusive rental partner to First Technology, our primary focus is to provide ICT hardware and software rental options to First Technology customers. We also provide asset management solutions that track assets over the rental period, thereby ensuring that renewal and asset retirement are made easy. This cradle to grave approach ensures that the clients experience with us is second to none, he says.
Rob Matthews, group MD at First Technology, says that, although still a young company, the InnoVent people are highly qualified, and have a wealth of experience and financial acumen as far as asset rental and management services are concerned.
The company fits perfectly into the First Technology culture, and also adds value to our customers, by providing a holistic service that will foster long-term relationships between vendors, the channel and end-users, he says.
Khumbula says InnoVents agreement with First Technology is to provide financing services for deals valued at R100 000 upwards - and InnoVent will take responsibility for the replacement of equipment once it reaches its end-of-term lifecycle.
The full range of services provided by InnoVent comprises asset rental (pay-for-use, rent-to-own); asset renewal (renewals, buy-backs and remarketing of old equipment); and asset management.
