Telkom has introduced new calling plans, which, it says, can save businesses and consumers up to 20% on Internet dial-up costs.

Telkom says the newly launched Surf AnyTime is specifically designed for customers surfing the Internet during standard time. The packages are available in 600, 1 200, 1 800 and 2 400 inclusive minute offerings.

Telkom says Surf AnyTime customers with multiple users connecting to the Internet from different lines will only need to subscribe to one plan, and that all dial-up Internet calls made from any of the lines on one Telkom account will be subtracted from the available inclusive minutes.

According to Telkom, Surf AnyTime has an additional benefit of not having any minimum charges per call.

Only the actual number of seconds connected to the Internet is subtracted from the available inclusive minutes. This is a pure per second billing calling plan, Telkom says.

Telkoms Surf AnyTime is available to both ISDN and analogue Internet dial-up users with no additional installation or set-up charges.

The costs of the packages are as follows:

Telkom Surf AnyTime 600 R204 for 600 inclusive minutes per month;

Telkom Surf AnyTime 1200 R391 for 1 200 inclusive minutes per month;

Telkom Surf AnyTime 1800 R559 for 1 800 inclusive minutes per month;

Telkom Surf AnyTime 2400 R727 for 2 400 inclusive minutes per month.

Telkom says only local or Sharecall 0860 Internet calls to recognised ISPs will be eligible as inclusive minutes.

It is essential to confirm the ISP POP number, as only calls to these numbers will utilise the inclusive minutes, it concludes.
