Storgate has released a call to action for all of its Brocade resellers to register with Brocade's worldwide partner programme, which, aside from bringing access to valuable information, collateral and a rewards/incentive programme, aims to give resellers access to special solutions bundles, which not only deliver cost-efficiency, but will speed up the implementation time of solutions.

Helen Vermij, product manager at Storgate, says the first of these bundles comprises a Brocade 200E Silkworm Fibre Channel Switch and two Emulex controllers, the perfect starter kit for SME and mid-sized organisations moving towards a SAN environment.

"The migration to a SAN environment can be daunting for many companies," Vermij says, "with an architecture that needs to be developed, hardware that needs to be purchased and software that needs to be installed and configured.

"The Silkworm/Emulex bundle available to registered Brocade partners, speeds up much of the design and implementation time required to build a SAN. With a full complement of software, management tools and easy to follow guidelines for developing a SAN solution, this bundle will have customers reaping the benefits of dedicated storage networks in a heartbeat.

"The bundle solution also features sufficient headroom for growth, and, best of all, comes at an extremely attractive price point," she adds.

Vermij says that the Silkworm/Brocade bundle is the first of many bundled solutions that Brocade will be making available to its partners. "But only by registering for the programme, will these solutions be placed at the reseller's disposal.

"Partners will earn points for every solution that they sell. Each point is equitable to one US dollar in real world money, and can be redeemed through various vendors around the globe, wherever American Express is accepted," Vermij adds.
