Bytes Communication Systems (BCS), a member of the Bytes Technology Group, has broadened its communications product range.

BCS recently went to Taipei to source high-quality cost-effective communications products for the SoHo and SME markets. Products chosen by the company include those from Kylink and First Communications Industry (FCI.

Says Les Cawood, manager: indirect channel, at BCS: We have been looking for some time now at extending the variety of our product range. Our main objective was to secure a product which is robust enough for the local market and which will fit the budget of smaller companies looking to improve their existing communications infrastructure.

The Kylink product range includes the NIPX Series, a new generation PABX system which uses an advanced distributive processing architecture, aiming to enable the system to leverage all the advantages of integrated wired and IP technologies.

The NIPX is configured to support various functions, including VoIP, BRI/PRI, caller ID and CTI amongst others. The system incorporates a flexible design which allows for future expansion, and will be available in the NIPX 128 and NIPX 1000-range, Cawood says.

The FCI range of products is designed to penetrate the SoHo market and beyond, and includes a range of IP-PBX/KTS (Key Telephone System), VoIP Gateway /ATA and IP phones.

According to Cawood, Kylinks products will satisfy the needs of companies of all sizes in different industries, ranging from PBX/KTS systems for SMEs to multi-media call centres with hundreds of operators.
