Networking specialist, D-Link, has introduced a further incentive for the channel with the launch of its 'Think D-Link. Think Rewards!' programme through PlusPoints. Through this initiative, resellers are incentivised by earning points by selling selected D-Link products; the points are redeemable for rewards which include 42-inch LCD TVs, ocean cruises, vouchers and other highly desirable indulgences.

According to D-Link marketing manager, Karien Wood, the introduction of the programme comes in the companys 20th year of operation. From humble beginnings, D-Link has grown to a global billion-dollar organisation. This growth could not have been achieved without a combination of good products and people, and the indispensable contribution of the channel which provides us with a reach across SA, she says.

The 'Think D-Link. Think Rewards!' programme is geared to reward its channel partners for their continued support. PlusPoints are awarded for sales of our most popular wireless products, including access points, network adapters for desktops and notebooks and routers. We have specifically chosen high volume products since this will give our resellers the opportunity to rapidly earn rewards of some substance, she adds.

While the initial programme will run on a few selected products until December 2006, Wood says the qualifying products may be extended depending on the response from the channel.
