I have been online nearly ten years now, and consider myself relatively adept at navigating even the most un-user-friendly Web sites. Trying to book a flight from London to Scotland today, however, had left me realising why, occasionally, it is nice to have a human to speak to.

After several abortive attempts to actually obtain the correct flight schedules, I finally found flights and fare to suit my budget. Great stuff. So I go through all the forms, yadda yadda, and get to the payment bit. It tells me that there is an error with my credit card number, but will not say what or why. I re-entered the number three times, to no avail, whereafter I gave up. I remember reading once that a large percentage of e-commerce transactions are terminated at the payment stage, and now I see why. *sigh*

Anyone who has any bright ideas about how to book a flight in the UK from SA without using my credit card, please let me know (), asap... *grin*

Happy Freedom Day for Tuesday!
