In addition, the company says that its Hi-Speed JetFlash models (512MB capacity and above) are enhanced for Vista ReadyBoost technology; these include JetFlash 2A, JetFlash 110, JetFlash 130, JetFlash 150, JetFlash 160, JetFlash 168 and JetFlash 180.
By combining a compatible JetFlash Hi-Speed series of USB Flash Drive with the ReadyBoost feature, users will be able to boost their PCs responsiveness by using the flash memory that is in the JetFlash, the company says.
ReadyBoost technology is a feature of Vista that aims to enable computer users to connect a removable flash memory device, such as a USB pen drive, SD card, CF card or other memory form, to boost the system performance of a desktop or notebook computer. When taking the USB pen drive or flash card out of the computer, the system will automatically go back to its original settings, the company says.
To use Windows ReadyBoost, the computer must be pre-installed with Windows Vista and have access to a non-volatile flash memory buffer with at least 512MB of physical storage capacity, the company adds.
