The company notes that it topped the IDC analyst preliminary results charts with an overall yearly growth for calendar year 2004 of 62,6%. In the overall space for calendar year 2004, the result was also ahead of the market with a growth of 23,3%, in comparison with the overall market of 18,9%.
The company says that in the fourth quarter of 2004 it was able to almost double the market growth rates for both x86 server and mobiles. The company notes that it recorded the highest growth rate across all competitors in the X86 server space by achieving 25,6% growth in a market which grew by 14,5%. Mobile growth for the fourth quarter of 2004, the company says, was 60,6% - a tie for the first place - against a market growth of 34,6%.

These are solutions that provide an immediate benefit to customers, without having to wait for theoretical implementations."
Says Mark Wilson, MD of Fujitsu Siemens Computers SA: "We have made substantial inroads into the local market, and see continued growth here, particularly through our dedicated focus on the distribution channel. We are also seeing substantial growth in the Anglophone African territories which fall under our jurisdiction, with Fujitsu Siemens Computers receiving a resounding reception and welcome from reseller partners in these areas."
According to 4Q 2004 and calendar year 2004 preliminary results released on January 19 this year Fujitsu Siemens Computers achieved growth above market average for desktops and PCs in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany (retaining the number one position), Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia and SA.
