ICL will from now on be known as Fujitsu, after the conclusion of a worldwide re-branding exercise, the company announced today.

This re-branding is more than just a name change, says Fujitsu Services chief executive, Richard Christou.

It is showing that Fujitsu Services is committing itself towards operating in SA, and to firmly establishing the previous ICL organisation as a proper Fujitsu local office and subsidiary, completely adopting the companys global operating model, and enabling it to deliver the groups complete standardised offerings locally.

Christou says Fujitsu customers in SA will now benefit directly from the companys resources and expertise from across the globe, in both the private and public sector spaces.

Elvin de Kock, MD of Fujitsu SA, is very positive about the re-branding exercise, and says that it will bring much more value to customers as well as the local employee base, through global expertise that will be available to customers, and the aimed skills transfers to address the need in the call centre environment, which is a focus of Fujitsu at present.

Says Christou: We will be able to deliver even greater value to our customers; value in terms of lowered TCO and value in terms of total solutions to enable customers, particularly those within the public sector, to improve productivity and delivery.
