The company unveiled more than 20 printers and print server products, including the HP Jetdirect 625n Gigabit Ethernet print server, one of the first to incorporate Gigabit Ethernet technology.

For wireless print serving HP unveiled the Jetdirect ew2400, an 802.11g wireless and fast Ethernet external print server.

Also new was the HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One, an inkjet with 30ppm capability in black and 20ppm capability in colour.

It has built-in wireless networking and remote printing features. The HP Business Inkjet 1200 will be its lowest cost colour printer.

The fastest printers introduced were the LaserJet 4250 and 4350, black-and-white printers with speeds of 45ppm and 55ppm respectively.

Mobility was a major theme of the HP product introductions.

Mobile Printing for Pocket PC and for the Nokia 9500 Communicator will give users the option of printing directly from either handheld device to any Bluetooth, infrared, or Wi-Fi-enabled HP printer.

Both software releases are free downloads to Affiliate members of its Solution Provider Programme.

In addition, for custom handheld applications HP introduced a mobile printing SDK that aims to allow corporate applications developers to add printing capabilities to home-grown mobile enterprise applications.

The SDK includes drivers for printing directly from Microsoft's Pocket Word, Excel, Explorer, and Outlook.

Up until now, many handheld applications required a separate printing application. Bluetooth and infrared drivers are also included.

Also unveiled were a slew of new laser printers. At the top of the line was a monochrome laser, the HP LaserJet 9050, a 50ppm, wide format printer with an 8-bin mailbox device.

HP also introduced three digital projectors that connect to PCs, handhelds, DVD, VHS, and TVs. All products are shipping now.
